There are several ministry opportunities that your group can do while on a mission trip. Here are just a few.

Orphanage visits: We serve with 8 orphanages. In Mexico, orphanages are mostly privately run and rely on outside donations to stay open. Although they register with the Government, they receive little financial support from the state.

Teams have the opportunity to build relationships with the kids, connect one-on-one with them, share the love of Jesus with them as they play, serve a meal, hug, smile and laugh with them. We always want to share and encourage the kids as well as the workers with the word of God through devotionals, dramas, and or Bible study.

James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble…”

Community Outreach: Groups can have an opportunity to serve in several areas with a carnival type outreach and share the gospel of Jesus to the locals. This might include, food, game booths, prizes, face painting, nail painting, raffles, dramas, worship, testimonies and always the word of God.

Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,”

Mens or womens rehab facility visit: Teams can visit these facilities and encourage them with testimonies and the word of God, share a meal with them, provide hygiene products, and pray for them.

Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;”

Construction projects: Construction project is a great opportunity for people of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds to come together and bless a family, orphanage, community or church with something that they themselves can not provide. It may consist of drywall, painting, repairing a roof, room, etc. This all depends on your budget. No prior building experience is necessary to do construction projects-just a desire to serve the Lord and the people of Mexico, making sure that all is Christ-centered. Galatians 6:10 “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

Sojourners Is A Home Away From Home For Us As We Minister To Low From New Zealand. Our Team Has Stayed There Numerous Times, And Victor And Sonia Always We Receive, And We Care For Them As If They Were Family. The House Is Clean, Bright And Fresh, The Facilities Are Very Good, With Plenty Of Space To Spend Free Time Of Others, But Small Enough To Feel Like A Family Home. We Always Feel Safe, Sleep Well, And, As Victor And Sonia Are Literally Only A Couple Of Houses Away, We Know That We Have Support, Assistance, And Local Advice If Necessary. It Sonia We Even Wash The Clothes! I Hope To Return Again
