Chistmas Time
December brings festive Christmas songs, gifts, smiles and of course the true meaning of Christmas.
Victor and Sonia have been serving the Lord Jesus Christ as full-time missionaries in the Rosarito Baja area since 1999. They host teams for short term mission trips, providing accommodation, transportation and translation for the groups as well as helping teams have a better mission experience by planning their activities.
Sojourners base provides accommodation to equip short-term missionaries. Our desire is to help the groups to serve and share the gospel of Jesus Christ and show the love of God through simple acts of kindness. there are many opportunities to do so while serving in orphanages, rehabilitation facilities for men and women, churches, community outreach, ministry of landfills, street evangelism, building projects and more.

There are several ministry opportunities that your group can do while on a mission trip.

Victor also takes groups to South Baja for a missionary trip for 10 to 12 days. This consists of going to remote areas (mountains, villages, islands, sea ports), ministering God’s word, encouraging and taking provision to the people. Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
Our desire is that Sojourners Mission Base is a place of safe haven for the teams to come back after a day of missionary work, to relax, to have fellowship and to reflect on the event of that day and give all glory to God for the work that you did.
Sojourners Missions Base has everything a group needs to perform mission trips and can accommodate up to 35 people. The base is equipped with dormitories for men and women, as well as a family room and leadership room, three bathrooms and showers for both men and women, a fully equipped kitchen, pantry, dining area and outdoor terrace overlooking the sea from where you can enjoy watching the sunset for the night. We also have transportation available for groups who do not have it, as well as transportation available to pick up teams at the San Diego Airport.
Victor and Sonia Mayoral have huge hearts for God and for people. They love God, and they love serving Him. They also love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone that they meet. I have had the blessing of serving with the Mayorals for over twenty years. We have traveled up and down the Baja peninsula dozens of times, and I have seen them bless thousands of people. They live and serve unconditionally and by faith. I would trust their hearts and their experience in the mission field any time and any place, and I highly recommend them to any missions team that wants to serve God in Mexico. I have been blessed to serve with them, and I am blessed to call them my friends.
Our church has enjoyed partnering with Sojourners Mission since it began and we are very blessed for the operation of this facility. Victor and Sonia are both great hosts and wonderful friends, and we love to participate in many different missions. Thank you Sojourners for giving us the opportunity to serve in Mexico.
Sojourners is a home away from home for us as we come to minister in Baja from New Zealand. As a team (between 4 and 7 people) we have stayed there numerous times and are always welcomed and looked after like family by Victor and Sonia. The house is clean, light and fresh, the facilities very good, with plenty of room to have time out from others, but small enough to feel like a family home. We always feel safe, sleep well, and having Victor and Sonia literally only a couple of houses away, we know we have support, help and local advice if needed. Sonia even does our washing for us!! I look forward to coming again.
